Kumamoto Regional Joint Government Building B

The "Kumamoto Regional Joint Office Building B" was developed as a joint office building where seven government agencies would be housed, within the premises of the "Kumamoto Regional Joint Office Building A" that had been previously developed.

Since the site is located in the area surrounding Kumamoto Station, the "Kumamoto Station Area Urban Space Design Conference" and the "New Kumamoto Joint Office and District Development Council" discussed the design of the joint office to be built in the area surrounding the station, aiming not only for the functionality of the office as an office building, but also for the improvement of the landscape of the entire area surrounding the station. By combining the planting and pavement plans within the site with those of the surrounding area, the plan aimed to eliminate the boundary between the site and the surrounding area, creating an integrated urban space.
