Kochi Prefectural Main Building Seismic Isolation Retrofit

Being "reborn" as an office building with new added value

This is a seismic retrofitting renovation at the Kochi Prefectural Office. Seismic retrofitting improves the seismic performance without changing the existing building structure; however, depending on the condition of the building, internal reinforcement work is also performed.
In addition to retrofitting, this project includes seismic reinforcement renovation work on the interior, as well as functional improvements to areas that have deteriorated, giving the building new added value.

About "saving"

I hope that the building, which has been a prefectural-owned property for about 50 years after completion, will continue to be a high-value office building that is worth living in, and that it will continue to have a significant impact in the future.
