The world is changing dramatically today. Various events occurring around the world influence one another on a global scale across national and regional borders, and the challenges surrounding us are becoming increasingly globalized. In the DX (Digital Transformation) society, virtual communication will further accelerate global connectivity and transform human thinking and behavior. At the same time, humans are intensely real beings grounded in cities, architecture, and the global environment. Embracing the diverse changes that the DX society brings to cities and architecture, we continuously question what a rich environment for humanity should be and how to solve the global climate crisis, thereby designing the future shape of sustainable cities and architecture.
Become a "one-of-a-kind" presence through cross-breeding
Our individuality and strength lie in our ability to propose flexible ideas for cities and society, backed by data, to address complex social challenges. This proposal capability no longer stems from the framework or knowledge of a single individual or department. New ideas are born, and a sensibility capable of quickly responding to the changes of the times is nurtured precisely in the environment where autonomous individuals and departments with distinct personalities intermingle—a cross-breed. Guided by the philosophy of a "Cross-Breed Association," we form optimal teams for each theme, transcending all boundaries, and aim to be a "one-of-a-kind" entity that pioneers a new world.

We are also involved in numerous overseas projects. By competing with architects around the world and experiencing firsthand the diversity of thought regarding cities and architecture, the rapid pace of change, and the challenges demanded by the globe alongside the capability to take action to solve them, we have refined a sensibility that allows us to "view Japan from the world, and the world from Japan." All of our employees share this sensation of experiencing the world and broadening their perspectives, and through our design activities, we heighten our awareness that the form of architecture and spaces open to the city shapes new societies and urban cultures. We disseminate these activities not only within Japan but to the world, enhancing our presence as we aim to become the global "AXS SATOW."
Pursuing the future of humans, cities, and architecture
Our founder, Takeo Sato, left us with the words: "Architecture fundamentally belongs to everyone." Architecture always possesses a public nature that belongs to society and exists for the people who operate within it. Based on this philosophy, our mission at AXS SATOW is to derive themes from the complexities of modern society, explore the future of humanity, cities, architectural spaces, and the global environment, and transform the world into a better place.
